Independent travel publishing

Why TripDistill exists

Travel research often produces more tabs than decisions. TripDistill organizes destination information into a clear hierarchy: understand the country, choose the city, select the right neighborhood and build a route that respects time and energy.

How guides are researched

We begin with official tourism, immigration, airport and transport sources for facts that can be verified. We then organize recurring planning questions—where to stay, how many days, what needs a reservation and which passes actually fit—into practical comparisons. Every destination page includes its source list and review date.

What “distilled” means

It means reducing noise, not removing nuance. A guide should tell you the trade-off behind a recommendation, make uncertainty visible and send you back to an official source when information is time-sensitive.

Publishing roadmap

The English edition starts with Japan and Osaka. South Korea, China, Malaysia and Thailand are planned next, followed by city pages with enough original structure and practical detail to stand on their own. We do not intend to publish empty city shells simply to increase page count.

Independence and advertising

TripDistill may display advertising or affiliate links to keep the project inexpensive to operate. Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions, and commercial relationships will be disclosed where relevant.

Corrections are welcome

Travel information changes. If an official source conflicts with a guide, send the page URL and supporting link through the contact page.
