Build a trip that works

Three visits, three different days

01

French Quarter & Live Music

A day and an evening, with time for a slower return.

Venue hours, age restrictions and cover charges differ. Respect homes and performers, and ask about photography. Heat, rain and large events can change walking routes and transport; keep your belongings secure in crowds.

02

Garden District & Streetcars

Half a day.

Homes, gardens and some cemeteries have access restrictions. Do not step into yards for photographs. Check accessibility and service alerts with the transit operator, especially if a streetcar replacement changes the planned return.

03

Mississippi River & Wetlands

Half a day on the riverfront or most of a day for an out-of-town excursion.

Ask about wildlife practices and avoid operators that encourage feeding or handling wild animals. Heat, insects and storms affect comfort. A boat trip does not guarantee sightings, and flood conditions can change routes and access.
