A ticket to Ayutthaya is only the first line. Write the final transfer before boarding in Bangkok.

Check SRT D-Ticket for the date, origin station, train type and current time. Bangkok has more than one rail terminal; confirm the one printed on the itinerary.
Choose storage first
Ask accommodation about early drop-off, or confirm current station facilities directly. Do not assume an old luggage report remains valid.

Chao Phrom is the practical hinge
The east-bank market and commercial area can supply water, food, small purchases and orientation before the heritage circuit. It is not a substitute for the historic park, but it can keep the first hour from becoming an avoidable scramble.
