A mainland arrival plan built around three different boat nodes: Port of Airlie, Coral Sea Marina North and Shute Harbour.
It keeps mainland accommodation and boat departures together, but still requires a road transfer from PPP and a final walk, taxi or shuttle to the correct marina.
For Cruise Whitsundays day cruises, start at Port of Airlie. Ocean Rafting lists Coral Sea Marina North as its check-in. Compare the booking address before choosing a hotel or airport pickup.
Cruise Whitsundays’ island network includes Shute Harbour, but it is not the Port of Airlie terminal. Match your ferry and accommodation transfer to the live timetable and luggage conditions.
Check the operator notice and Bureau forecast before leaving. If the sailing is cancelled or you choose not to go, use the Airlie Beach Lagoon if open, or stay in town for a sheltered meal; move the island activity only after the operator confirms a new space.
Make the decision before the distance.
Airlie Beach is the accommodation town, not one shared dock. Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) is at Proserpine, about 30 minutes from Airlie by road; transfer options must be arranged for the flight you actually booked. In town, Cruise Whitsundays day cruises use Port of Airlie, Ocean Rafting checks in at Coral Sea Marina North, and island-transfer services also use Shute Harbour. These are separate addresses and schedules.

Match arrival to the ground transfer
PPP is at Proserpine, not Airlie Beach. Reserve a listed coach, taxi or car and allow for the road leg before promising a same-day boat connection.
Pin the booked terminal
Port of Airlie, Coral Sea Marina North and Shute Harbour are distinct nodes. Save the operator’s address and return terminal.
Rehearse the morning
Check baggage acceptance, check-in and final boarding rules in the actual booking; allow time for the transfer from your lodging.
Keep a mainland fallback
If the vessel cancels or conditions do not suit, use Airlie’s managed town facilities and rebook only against confirmed operator space.

Terminal mismatch
A short map distance does not make the three marinas interchangeable; a missed boat can end the island plan.
Flight-to-boat connection
PPP is roughly 30 minutes by road from Airlie, before baggage, traffic or transfer waiting time. Avoid a tight self-made connection.
Sea state and cancellation
Rain alone does not predict a safe or cancelled trip. Check the marine forecast and the operator’s decision and refund/change terms.
Access is never implied by proximity.
Marinas are working terminals; stay within public areas and follow staff directions. Choose a signed, managed swimming area for a land-based swim and follow local stinger, weather and water notices; the open tidal coast is not interchangeable with a pool.
